Thomas Tuchel admits Chelsea’s Premier League title race could be over if they lose to Manchester City tomorrow (Saturday)

, Chelsea are 10th behind Manchester City. Points before a visit to the Etihad Stadium where they will be missing players like Andreas Christensen because of

the coronavirus. The Blues have won. They beat Manchester City in the Champions League final in May last year, but Tuchel has hailed Pep Guardiola’s side as the best in England, with

City having won 11 games. In the league, on the other hand, Chelsea have lost just one of their 15 games but have drawn six of them together.

Asked if a defeat to City would end Chelsea’s chances of a title race, Tuchel said. “Maybe, maybe, who knows, so far the most important difference of this season is that they deal better with injuries and coronavirus.”

“Maybe it’s because of luck, maybe they can do better, whatever. But they have fewer injuries to the main players, fewer players out and less a week away from

them. So that’s a huge difference. Because there are some games that we draw unnecessarily. If you have the perfect team you create an atmosphere that pushes everyone to the very end

. They are the best team in England right now. This is a reality that we have to accept

. But I’m also a realist.”

“If you look at the past games when we had the players ready, we were always good against Man City and pushing them to the limit. Maybe they will come up with questions they don’t want to answer

, but the situation is that they are very strong, very consistent and they are performing at a top level.
