Athletic Bilbao’s Williams brothers Nico and Inaki appeared on ‘La Revuelta’ and told the story of their summer links to Barcelona.
Athletic Bilbao’s Spanish international winger Nico Williams has revealed that he made his own decision not to join Barcelona this summer, despite attempts by his Blaugrana teammates to convince him to join.
Nico appeared on ‘La Revuelta’ alongside brother Inaki Williams to provide an update on what happened last summer amid links with Barcelona.
‘I suffer a lot, now people on social media still send me messages (about Barcelona). Some say I should come to Barcelona, some say we don’t want you anymore,’ Nico said.
Before Inaki elaborated on his brother’s decision, he said. ‘I read in the news that my parents separated because Nico hadn’t made a decision yet. I think my mother wanted him to go and my father wanted him to stay and they separated because of that. So I put a lot of pressure on him. ‘
‘Your mother is a big Barcelona fan, so the separation was because of that,’ added host David Broncano with a laugh.
Inaki added: ‘I don’t want to get involved in his decision because I just want him to be happy. Whatever he decides to do. If my brother is clear that he wants to stay at Athletic, I support him to stay there.’
Nico laughed and explained that Barcelona duo Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde tried their best to convince him to move to the Catalan capital.
‘Lamine and Balde, the two rascals, don’t make it easy. ‘Brother, come on, come on, come on’ every hour, every day. I talk to them, ‘I’ll make my own decision.’ I’ve talked to my family about it, that’s it.’
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s most effective player this season has been Rafinha. Who has previously expressed his disrespect for Barca fans who wanted Nico to replace him last summer. But Nico is UFABET not too bothered by the situation.
